Neklinovsky district is primordially agricultural, which largely determines its economic activity and specialization in the production of grain, vegetables, fruit and berry crops, livestock products and fish farming. Over 83% of the district’s territory is occupied by land suitable for agricultural production.
Agricultural activity in the district is carried out by 13 large and medium enterprises, 111 peasant (farmer) farms, more than 34 thousand personal subsidiary farms.

CROP
Cereals, industrial crops
By the yield of grain and leguminous crops, corn and sunflower, the region is in the top three in the Rostov region. About twenty types of crops are cultivated in the region.
In 2019, agricultural producers of the Neklinovsky District collected 447 thousand tons of grain and leguminous plants. The average grain yield in 2019 was 42 kg / ha, in 2018 - 32.7 kg / ha. Winter crops harvested 354 thousand tons. The highest yields were achieved by such farms as Taganrog Poultry OJSC - 51 kg / ha, Razdolie LLC - 54.3 kg / ha. Among individual entrepreneurs, the best are Olga Anatolyevna Zorina, productivity 51.1 centners per hectare, and Alexey Vasilievich Bortsov 56.1 centners per hectare.
In 2019, 98 thousand tons of sunflower were harvested, yield - 31 kg / ha, in 2018 - 23.5 kg / ha.
Seed Production
Over the past two years, not only favorable weather conditions, but also the sufficient use of elite seeds by agricultural enterprises of the region have become an indicator of increasing grain productivity.
The following farms are engaged in the production and distribution of the latest winter wheat varieties in our region: SPK-collective farm “50 years of October”, LLC Helios, IP Sukhomlinova OV and SP Deineka A.I. In total, up to 9 thousand tons of elite seeds are annually produced by the district seed farms.
Gardening
On an industrial basis, gardening is widespread in the farms of OJSC Zolotaya Kosa, SPK collective farm Progress, SPK collective farm Limanny and OOO Rodina. Over the past 15 years, more than 800 hectares of young gardens have been planted in the area.
Particular attention is paid to the horticultural industry by an individual entrepreneur - Head of the KFH N. Kurochkina This farm has 34 hectares of intensive trellis gardens using drip irrigation.
Also on the territory of the district there are 5 fruit storages of OJSC Zolotaya Kosa, SPK collective farm Limann, SPK collective farm Progress, ZAO Kolkhoz Sovetsky, collective farm N. Kurochkina N.A. with a total capacity of 6650 tons.
Livestock
Livestock farms in the region specialize in dairy and beef cattle breeding, pig breeding, sheep breeding, rabbit breeding and poultry farming.
The number of cattle is concentrated in seven large agricultural enterprises. The largest herd of cattle in the SPK-collective farm “50 years of October”. In May 2019, the farm was granted the status of a breeding reproducer for breeding Holstein cattle.
In the largest rabbit-breeding farm in the Rostov Region, IE Pudysheva R.Yu. There are 15 thousand heads of a highly productive breed of rabbits imported from France.
In one of the best poultry farms in the Russian Federation, Taganrog Poultry Farm OJSC produces 250 million eggs a year. This closed-loop venture also produces meat, feed and egg powder.
There are also three fishing farms in the area.
Cleaner Production
In the Neklinovsky District, a unique enterprise LLC Petrovsky Bio-Khutor operates. This is the first rural eco-economic enterprise in the Rostov region, a pioneer in the production of environmentally friendly products from spelled (spelled), rye, glazed oats, flax, red and green lentils, grown without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides.
Government Support
For 12 months of 2019, agricultural producers of the region received 114.5 million rubles of state support in the form of a subsidy.
