The forum’s participants were representatives of the tourism industry and authorities of the South of Russia, officials of administration offices of municipal units of the Rostov region, non-governmental tourism organizations, national experts in promotion of regions and tourism (Republic of Crimea, Moscow, St Petersburg, Ekaterinburg) and others.
The following key topics were discussed: Tourism Transformers: Principles of Work with Territories, Best Practice Cases, Hospitality Cascading, Modern Approaches to Quality Standards, etc.
All the municipal units were divided into territorial groups. The Neklinovsky district was included into the group of the Azov Sea area. The participants developed a combined three-day itinerary across all the municipal units of the group. Then there were discussions with federal experts at various master classes and roundtables.
At the plenary session, the Minister of Economic Development of the Rostov region M. Papushenko reported the first results of implementing the marketing strategy of tourist attractiveness of the Rostov region and also detailed the strategy of social and economic development of the Rostov region up to 2030.
It was noted that the Rostov region took part in implementing a new mobile application, Card of Guest of the Russian Federation, which makes it possible for a tourist to select tour itineraries and get a discount on them, book hotels, guided tours and so on.
